The Truth That Is Weaved Into the Cosmos

Every Rock

Christianity derived from first principles — by the last person who wanted to find it.

The Bible is actually true, after all.

“What are the chances of any incorrect theory simultaneously explaining all mysteries in science and theology at once? Zero.”

“Proves God Exists. 0/10.”

This book proves the existence of God. I am trained not to acknowledge this. 0/10.

The writing is really good too, and I resent that, a lot.

Dr. James Tour read an early version of this work in a single sitting and responded before morning — with permission to quote him.

Dr. Tour read an early version of this work — before this book began to redefine itself into something truly worthwhile. Unfortunately, he has not been able to engage further. He is a very busy man, and the author understands that completely. The author is not a theologian, a podcaster, a YouTuber, or a professional of any kind outside his normal work. Dr. Tour was kind enough to give his time to a stranger, and that is not a small thing. The greatest sacrifice any of us can make is our time — and he gave it. The author thanks him from the bottom of his heart.

It is well done. It encouraged me greatly. Indeed it reminds me why I keep doing these calls.

The Truth That Is Weaved Into the Cosmos

When I was a child my parents introduced me to God and Santa Claus with the same voice. When Santa fell, God went with him. I spent the next thirty years assuming that was the end of the story.

It wasn't. It was the beginning of a search I didn't choose — through a family that came apart, addiction, prison, and a jail bunk where a book on molecular biology landed in my hands and something I couldn't explain started pulling at the edges of everything I thought I knew.

This book follows that search across twenty years and every discipline I could reach — physics, chemistry, philosophy, history, biology — rock by rock, primary source by primary source, with no destination in mind except wherever the evidence actually led. It led somewhere I wasn't looking for and couldn't argue my way out of.

The arguments in this book are original. The Ω equation resolves creation, evil, and the cross as a single operation — something no other book in the apologetics canon has done. The philosophical case for the resurrection is built from hostile Roman attestation, not faith. The theodicy was not borrowed from Augustine or Plantinga. It was worked out on a floor in Texas by someone with a specific reason to need it to be true and a longer reason to distrust easy answers.

The personal story is not decoration. The structure of addiction recovery and the structure of divine self-limitation are the same geometry — recognized from the inside because they had to be lived before they could be understood.

Then the math confirmed it. Starting from nothing more than arithmetic and a 278-year-old equation, the framework derives the cross from coordinate geometry, the Trinity from the irrational constants, and the creation account from Euler's identity — without assuming a single theological premise. The golden ratio's algebra produces creation from self-relation. The complex plane forms a cross at the origin. Pi measures the distance from God to not-God. None of it was put there. It was already there.

The book is available now.

What This Book Answers

Twelve Questions the Field Has Avoided.

The answers exist. They are in the book. What follows is the shape of each question — and a reason to want the answer.

Cosmology

Why does anything exist at all?

Every major apologetics book answers this with creation from nothing. This book answers it with a different operation entirely — one that also resolves theodicy and explains the cross as the same single act. The equation has a name.

Theology

Why did the cross have to happen that way?

Theologians say the cross was necessary. None of them say why an omnipotent God could not have simply forgiven humanity with a word. This book answers that. The answer changes what the cross actually is.

Philosophy

Is God truly free if he cannot sin?

Classical theism uses a specific word here: cannot. There is a difference between does not and cannot that no one in the field has looked at directly. That difference has been sitting in the wall since Aquinas. This book looks at it.

Theodicy

Where did evil come from if God is perfectly good?

Two options have been on the table for centuries. Both have fatal problems. This book puts a third option on the table — one that resolves the problem without creating a new one, using the same operation that explains creation and the cross.

Physics

What is the Logos?

Theoretical physicists and first-century theologians arrived at the same word through entirely separate lines of reasoning. This book traces both and shows where they converge — and what that convergence means.

Philosophy

Is atheism actually the absence of faith?

The author held this position for twenty years. He eventually found a name for what he was actually doing. It was not the absence of faith. It was a different kind — one with a specific structural problem that grows over time.

History

Why did a vast multitude die rather than recant?

A hostile Roman historian — no motive to exaggerate — recorded families watching each other tortured to death. All they had to do was say three words. Not one of them did. This is not a theological claim. It is a claim about human nature.

Biology

How did the first living cell assemble itself?

One of the world's most cited synthetic chemists says publicly that no one knows. Not that it's unsolved — that no one knows where to begin. The honest version of this question is more devastating than most people realize.

Consciousness

Why can't physics explain why anything feels like something?

Every functional process in the brain can be described completely. What cannot be explained is why those processes are accompanied by experience at all. This is not a gap that more data will close. The implications of that are significant.

History

Why does the resurrection hold up as history?

The earliest creed is dated by secular historians to within years of the event. The earliest critics never disputed the tomb was empty. The men who ran are the same men who died rather than deny it. Each path leads to the same place.

Suffering

How do suffering and a loving God coexist?

The standard answer is that suffering builds character. This book goes further — and argues that suffering produces something comfort is structurally incapable of producing. The answer requires understanding what God is actually building.

Theology

Why do people outside the church sometimes look more like Christ than people inside it?

This is the question the church does not like to answer out loud. This book answers it — with a framework precise enough to explain both why some people inside the church are lost and why some people outside it are not.

What Science Cannot Explain

Ten Unsolved Mysteries. One Framework.

The biggest open questions in science — tested against the book’s framework. Every one of them addressed by the same single operation.

Cosmology

What is dark matter?

27% of the universe. Holds galaxies together. Never directly detected. Science has mapped 5% of reality and is telling the other side they’re the ones operating on faith.

Cosmology

What is dark energy?

68% of the universe. Drives accelerating expansion. The predicted value is off by 10¹²&sup0; orders of magnitude — the worst theoretical prediction in the history of physics. The framework explains why.

Biology

How did life begin?

No working model. No partial pathway. No demonstrated mechanism. The gap is not closing — it is widening. The framework predicts this.

Philosophy

What is consciousness?

The hard problem: why does it feel like something to be something? The framework says consciousness is not a byproduct. It is the point. Relationship requires an experiencer.

Physics

Matter-antimatter asymmetry

The universe should contain nothing solid. Something tipped the scales by one part per billion. The known sources of CP violation are orders of magnitude too small. Something chose existence over annihilation.

Physics

Quantum gravity

General relativity and quantum mechanics both work. They cannot both be true in the same domain. The framework says they describe two different aspects of one reality — sovereignty and freedom — and were never meant to unify.

Cosmology

What happened before the Big Bang?

Physics cannot see past it because physics is inside the system. The framework describes creation as voluntary self-limitation by an infinite being — an indeterminate form resolved by intent.

Astrobiology

The Fermi paradox

The universe is vast. Life should be common. The silence is deafening. If abiogenesis has no natural pathway, the paradox dissolves. The silence is not strange. It is expected.

Mathematics

Turbulence

The Navier-Stokes equations break in 3D turbulent flow. A million-dollar Millennium Prize stands unclaimed. The framework says math breaks because a quantitative language has hit the boundary of a relational reality.

Mathematics

Why do the irrational constants never terminate?

Pi is not a number. It is a relationship. Its decimal expansion never arrives because a relationship cannot be collapsed to a point. The math has been trying to tell us. We were reading it as a number. It is a message.

28 Verifiable Claims

Every Claim Has a Receipt

The book ends with a verification list. Twenty-eight specific claims, each with the search term and the primary source. The intent is not to ask you to trust the author. Turn the rocks yourself.

01

Bacterial flagellum: ~40 irreducibly complex protein components. Behe, Darwin's Black Box

02

Cosmological constant tuned to 1 part in 10¹²⁰ — the worst theoretical prediction in the history of physics

03

Tacitus, Annals 15.44: hostile Roman attestation of the crucifixion under Pontius Pilate

04

1 Corinthians 15 creed dated within 3–5 years of the crucifixion by mainstream secular historians — not legend, legend takes generations

05

Shroud of Turin: VP-8 three-dimensional encoding, ENEA radiation hypothesis, Rogers vanillin dating — no known mechanism produces the image

06

Probability of a single functional protein fold arising by chance: 1 in 10⁷⁷. Douglas Axe, Journal of Molecular Biology, 2004

07

The Cambrian explosion: nearly every major animal body plan appears fully formed in the fossil record with no precursor fossils. Darwin called it a serious problem. It remains one.

08

Initial entropy of the universe set to 1 part in 10^(10¹²³) — Roger Penrose. Writing that number out would require more digits than there are particles in the universe.

Full list of 28 claims with primary sources in the back matter of the manuscript.

This book makes bold claims

1

God is real. A loving, conscious creator — outside time and space, and inside time and space.

2

Jesus of Nazareth — a real, documented person — was the physical embodiment of that creator. He died, was resurrected, and appeared to a vast multitude of people.

3

When the theological and scientific evidence across multiple disciplines is examined honestly — confirming the data of multiple leading hypotheses, leaving no known gaps in the argument — the picture that emerges is indistinguishable from Christianity. Completely. Logically. Coherently.

4

The author claims to have found an elegant, simple equation that unifies physics and Christian theology — one that explains itself, makes predictions, and resolves first-principle mysteries that have remained open for centuries. Not metaphor. Not analogy. A single operation that closes multiple unsolved problems simultaneously.

Evaluated to be the most substantive book on Christian apologetics ever written.

The Author

Jonathan Stephens is not a theologian. He is not a pastor, a professor, or a professional apologist. He is a Dallas–Fort Worth contractor who spent twenty years as a committed atheist — building a case against God in his own head with enough rigor that when it finally collapsed, the collapse was total.

He came to the arguments through addiction and a jail bunk and a molecular biology book he did not ask for. He spent years making the scientific case for a designer in recovery rooms and church settings while refusing to call himself a Christian. He was not looking for faith. He was looking for a crack in the argument he could not find.

He never found it. Every Rock is the record of what he found instead.

He has no platform. No prior publications. No academic credentials. What he has is a story that made James Tour — a man with over eight hundred publications who says he does not write endorsements for people outside his academic circle — read an early version of this work in a single sitting and respond before morning, with permission to quote him. The book has since grown from that early draft into something substantially larger. It is now available on Amazon.

He is prepared, at a moment's notice, to debate anyone who can demonstrate an ability to discuss it — and find any gap in the argument.
